Getting to know us...

Peace of Mind Children’s Center is an established infant, toddler and preschool in the remarkable Brentwood/Allendale Neighborhoods. It is conveniently located @ Burnet Rd and Northland Dr in Central Austin. Peace of Mind is not religiously affiliated.

At Peace of Mind Children’s Center we provide a full-day, year-round care for children aged 8 weeks through 5 years in a loving, stimulating and safe environment, through working and playing in a setting in which each person is valued for their strengths, children learn to value different ideas, cultures and individuals. The center is licensed by the State of Texas and serves families regardless of race, color, sex, age, disability, religion, national origin or political beliefs.

Our program aims to meet the unique needs of each child, helping them develop a healthy self-esteem and achieve developmental milestones. Throughout the day, children can participate in activities that enhance their development in all areas. Where they can enjoy creative activities such as art, music, and movement; fine motor activities that prepare them for such things such as writing; gross motor activities that help them develop healthy bodies; language development activities; discovery and science activities; activities that promote math and problem-solving skills and various types of cognitively stimulating activities. We strive to create an atmosphere in which each child is respected as an individual. In addition to guided classroom time, we also provide the children with the opportunity to engage in free play. This type of play encourages spontaneity and creativity and promotes children’s ability to make choices for themselves.  Our staff members are knowledgeable about the developmental characteristics of the children in their care and are aware of children’s abilities and needs and how they fit into the wider spectrum of children’s development. Our curriculum is also designed to help children develop self-help skills and social responsibility for their environment and their classmates.
